Colt Starting 101

It’s not a secret to the handiest of horsemen, that good groundwork can make or break your colt. If there’s holes in them, one can almost always find it in the groundwork. And if you don’t want holes in their groundwork, you should do your research on who you have start your colts. If it’s not me, I have a VERY short list of people that will do a bang up job at helping your horses become solid citizens.

In the video below, I show you what portions of “Day 2” with this long yearling look like. She’s awful smart, super willing to please, and her owner is going to have so much fun with her. I’m going to do a follow-up video to this one with a more advanced horse, so I can better explain some of what you see happening here.
